About the event
YEEHAH!
After the wonderful response to last year’s Rye Harvest barn dance, the Hoedown is back for another night of live music, dancing and good old-fashioned fun.
Last year’s event was one of the highlights of the Rye Harvest Wine & Food Fair, with the dance floor full and guests of all ages throwing themselves into the spirit of the evening. This year, the Hoedown returns as a standalone event, with the brilliant Cut A Shine back to provide the music, lead the dances and keep everyone on their feet.
Dress up and join the fun
Dressing up is warmly encouraged, although never compulsory.
Think checked shirts, denim, neckerchiefs, braces, dungarees, boots, waistcoats, prairie dresses, straw hats and your finest country-inspired attire. Whether you come fully dressed for the hoedown or simply add a bandana, the aim is to relax, have fun and embrace the occasion. There may even be a little recognition for the most enthusiastic outfits 🤠
To refresh and revive you
You can expect selection of carefully curated drinks, local brews and a signature cocktail at the bar and standing by to feed our hungry hoedowners, a superb BBQ and Pizza bar is on hand - Rye Harvest style!
About Cut A Shine
You are in for a treat! Cut A Shine the UK's premier Ceilidh & Hoedown band are back for a foot-stomping night of live music, dancing and community Harvest celebration. Their live music and friendly calling make the evening accessible to beginners while keeping experienced dancers thoroughly entertained. They were a huge part of what made last year’s Hoedown so popular, and we are delighted to welcome them back to Rye.
This year you are dancing for a good local cause
Rye Foodbank is the official charity partner of the Rye Harvest Hoedown along with new partners The Community Centre!
We've thought of a fun and inclusive way of fundraising for these volunteer organisations that are so vital for Rye's Community.
