Inspired by France’s Rando des Gourmets and Italy’s Magnalonga, the GastroProm reimagines the experience for Kent & Sussex.

Part walk, part feast, it transforms the beautiful English countryside into a roaming dining experience, perfect for those craving an immersive introduction to the region.

The event showcased season local food and drink, electectic live music performances, historic landmarks, local artisans and unexpected venues over a 7.6 mile route.

Where it all started

Winchelsea Gastronomic Promenade

In July 2026, one hundred guests gathered in the medieval town of Winchelsea, East Sussex, to embark on the very first Gastronomic Promenade.

The day began with a Breakfast Martini made with local Cinque Gin, and continued with a tour of the Saluation Cellar, a fascinating facet of Winchelsea's history. The 7-mile route journeyed through medieval streets, across ancient landscape and culminated in a cheese course finale at the stunning Charles Palmer Vineyards.

It was sold-out with a waitlist and marked the beginning of an exciting new venture for the Rye Harvest team.
