Experience something out of the ordinary.

This October, the Gastronomic Promenade returns with a new 7.6-mile harvest trail through Rye, Playden and Iden.

Part walk, part feast and part voyage of discovery, this extraordinary day brings together seasonal local food and drink, live music, historic gems, interesting characters and the changing autumn landscape.

Beginning at Rye Hill, you’ll follow riverside paths into historic Rye before continuing through farmland, pasture and orchards.

Along the way, history, incredible scenery and four distinctive food and drink experiences await:

• Scallops and Gusbourne sparkling wine overlooking Rye Bay

• A seasonal local beef dish paired with local wine, served among classic cars

• A Harvest Crumble & Cocktail Party at a gem of a village pub

• Local cheese at a brewery taproom and live music around the firepit

Between courses, you’ll encounter ancient churchyards, a castle performance, panoramic viewpoints, iconic landmarks, a hidden artisan workshop and a total of 5 unique live music performances in unexpected places as part of this full-day itinerary.

Walk with old friends or arrive knowing nobody. Part of the magic of the GastromProm is the company you collect along the way.

Your ticket includes the complete food and drink menu, live entertainment, special access and your Promenader’s Passport. Free all-day parking is available at the starting point.

• This is a full-day walking menu experience covering approximately 7.6 miles

• The route is moderate in difficulty; a reasonable level of fitness is required

• There will be stiles and uneven terrain in places

• Please come prepared for a full day outdoors; we'll keep you hydrated with water stops along the route

• Further joining instructions will be shared ahead of the event, and route maps provided on the day

• Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, with water and treat stops along the route

You can choose between: MEAT & FISH OR VEGETARIAN Pairing Experience (alcohol) or

MEAT OR VEGETARIAN Alcohol-free option.
